Systemcrafters how to guide offers an iso file with automated non gnu guix support for proprietary drivers and so on.

As his lates iso build is a bit outdated, i took another build from someone who forked his repo on Github.

I assume that this should work too.

I had installed some older versions of NixOS many times and then upgraded the channels later on.
